Rules and Regulations 1. All members and visiting flyers shall have a valid AMA membership. 2. The flying field is for members only, except when there is a contest. A guest may be invited for two flying sessions only, upon notification of two Steering Committee members. A ten dollar fine will be imposed for the first offense for failure to advise the Steering Committee. Removal from the club membership will follow a second offense. 3. An out of state friend of any member may fly as a guest with the member, free of charge. This allowance will have a thirty day limit. The member bringing a guest is responsible for the guest. 4. The frequency of all equipment must be registered with the club officer responsible for frequency records. When buying new equipment, first check for available frequencies from the proper club officer. 5. The proper placards, with channel number, designating your frequency must be displayed at all times. 6. Metal propellers are not allowed. 7. All engines larger than .09 cu-in. displacement must have mufflers at this field. The muffler required is the closed chamber type (no flow through). If homemade, the muffler must be approved by the Steering Committee. 8. No one shall fly power models before 10:00 AM. All flying should cease one-half hour before sundown. 9. The flight line shall be designated by the Steering Committee. 10. Before a member turns on his transmitter, he shall be sure that no one is already on his frequency. A frequency clip, provided by the club member with name attached, must be placed on the frequency control board prior to turning on the transmitter. If the frequency to be used is already ‘pinned’, find out who has the frequency and arrange for your turn. If a plane already flying on his frequency should crash due to his negligence he shall take full responsibility. 11. A flyer, when taking his plane off for a flight, must remain in the designated area for pilots. You may walk out to your plane only to retrieve it if stalled or after your flight is complete. Flying shall only be over the leased area. 12. No one shall fly his aircraft behind the pit area, over the pit area, or over the parking lot. No one shall fly over any spectators or buzz the field at dangerous speeds. No racing during sport flying unless all members present are notified. 13. There will be no restarting of engines on the flying field. If a plane is proceeding to take off and the engine quits, the flyer must return to the flight line for restarting. 14. Any new members claiming to fly must prove ability to at least two qualified flying members of the club. Any new member needing flight instruction may obtain help from experienced members or club Flight Instructors. 15. Parking shall be in the area provided only. No parking or driving on the field. 16. There will be no littering on the field or in the parking area. All trash is to be taken home. 17. All children must be under supervision and kept off of the flying field at all times. 18. Any violation by any member of the preceding rules will constitute a fine, levied by the club. If violations continue, the member shall be removed from the club without a refund.
