Photo Submission Guidelines

We want your photos! If you're a club member who has some interesting, funny, or cool pictures and you'd like to share them on this website, we'd love to get them from you! We've put together these guidelines to help you get your photos to us.

Sizing

Photos should be kept to a size of 640x480 (or close) ideally. If you have huge photos and aren't sure how to shrink them down, simply send an email to the webmaster and arrangements will be made to get the photos from you via snail-mail or in person at a club meeting. Pictures that are too big will not travel well via email, due to attachment size limitations. If you have questions, email the webmaster.

Information

If there is a specific description you'd like to be included with the photo, please let us know. Giving your pictures proper, descriptive names also helps us identify them more easily. If you would like credit, please indicate this and it will be done.

Linking to other sites

We have a good deal of webspace and bandwidth available to us, but it's not unlimited. So, to keep things reasonable, we ask that you do not link your photos from this website. If you're looking for a free photo-hosting site, you should check out photobucket. They offer this type of service for free. If we find that any offsite links have been set up to any images, we will be forced to remove that image. Sorry, but we need to limit our bandwidth so that everyone may enjoy our site.

Other fine print

Occasionally, we may need to resize or otherwise edit a photo to reasonably include it on the site. If your photo is edited in a way objectionable to you, please let us know and we will discuss it with you. Please be aware that this will only be done where necessary, and only to the minimum level necessary to preserve the original photo as much as possible. Also, we may need to occasionally "clean house" and delete the oldest of the photos to make room for new ones. We can't reasonably contact you if your photo is deleted, so if you REALLY need that photo to stay up and you notice that it has been removed, contact us.
