NEW MEMBERSHIP POLICY Applicant shall apply to the Steering Committee for membership at a regular meeting. The applicant shall be presented to the membership by the Steering Committee at a subsequent regular meeting. A vote shall be taken at the following month’s regular meeting (with the prospective member present). A unanimous vote is needed to accept a new member, which will be taken by secret ballot. After payment of dues and presentation of a valid AMA membership card, he/she will be granted all flying privileges of the club. A new member applicant or guest must present his plane and equipment to the Safety Directors before attempting to fly. Any defects or malfunctions found must be corrected to the satisfaction of the Safety Committee before the new member is allowed to fly. Before recommendation by the Steering Committee, temporary flying privileges may be granted to an applicant. Such flying privileges may be exercised only with regular members present and may be revoked at any time. The club’s open (19 years an older) membership shall not exceed a maximum limit (currently 80) as determined by the Steering Committee; junior membership is unlimited.
DUES POLICY To be eligible to fly, dues must be paid. Dues shall be payable Jan 1st and must be paid by the March meeting for the year. New members enrolling before Oct 1st shall pay the dues for the entire current year. After Oct 1st, full dues are payable but will apply to the following year’s dues. CURRENT DUES STRUCTURE Open membership: $55.00 per year Junior membership: $5.00 per year Membership assessments as necessary and as determined by the Steering Committee.
